The town of Davenport lies 6 miles east of the county seat of Chandler, in Lincoln County. It was originally opened for settlement during the Sac and Fox Opening land run in 1892.
Mason Lodge No. 260 was organized on July 23, 1904, and chartered on February 15, 1905. This building is a two-story brick treasure, constructed in 1905. Farmers Bank originally occupied the ground floor, with the masons meeting upstairs, as they do today.
The temple celebrated their 100th year anniversary and a commemoration plaque stands at the rear of the bulding, dedicated February 15, 2005.
This is a small lodge that meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7:30. The building stands at the southeast corner of Main and Broadway. The address on the front door says 224 (Broadway), however, the lodge is listed as 3-1/2 Main Street.
