This pumping station with water tower was originally built in 1625 and renewed in 1845. The water was used for the public fountains in the area, this means drinking water supply in these days.

In the late 1960s the well was destroyed unintentionally during roadworks in the neighborhood and the station was shut down.

Some years ago a new spring was encased not far from here. The pumping station was restored and made operational again in 2006. It uses a old water wheel to pump the water up. The water is used for a park owned by the same nonprofit foundation.
