After purchasing the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society set out to convert the station into a museum reflecting the history of the community.

Located on the same location that the railway station has stood since 1893, the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society purchased the station in 1986 and then set out to convert it to a museum covering the rich history of the region.
