Built in 1893 the Agassiz CPR station served the community until the 1970s when the railway began phasing them out of service. In 1986 it was purchased for $1 and turned into a museum.

Still on it original location the 1893 station was purchased by the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society for $1. It then was lifted and rotated 180°. Today it houses the artifacts of the society for public view.
