"Healing Place"

Brooks College of Health, University of North Florida - Jacksonville, FL - 2009

This interactive sculpture was created as a "place" for students and faculty to meet, as it is the centerpiece of Brooks College. Made of Indiana limestone to match the surrounding architecture - the installation site was designed around it. Located next to the Student Union the imagery is one of sharing, compassion and comfort. The "laps" of each figure offer a comfortable seating opportunity. Both figures have become quite popular and always seem to be occupied.
