Also known as Albermarle, Elijah Simerly House, and Nathaniel E. Harris House.

This large two-story brick Italianate-style structure was built in 1863 by Elijah Simerly. Registered in 1996 by the Butler family. Now operated as a bed & breakfast (see website link below).

The most famous owner of this house would be Nathaniel E. Harris. A Civil War Confederate veteran, Harris moved to Georgia where he was elected govenor. Later in life, his family returned to this home each summer. Governor Harris died here in 1929.
