The Peace Path that leads visitors from the parking lot to the Peace and Spirituality Center of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Peace is a beautifully maintained path through the trees, yet it was hidden and hard to find for new visitors who may not even know of its existence unless they should happen upon it by chance. On International Peace Day, September 21st, 2010, Spiritual Directors International changed that by marking the entrance to the Peace Path with a tall, white peace pole, greeting all who arrive with a message of peace and drawing them towards the path’s entrance. In eight languages, it blesses the Peace Path with this message: “May Peace Prevail on Earth.” A new cedar tree now also lines the path, planted by Spiritual Directors International and blessed by the Sisters of St Joseph of Peace to continue a long tradition of giving back to this beautiful Earth – may peace indeed prevail! Spiritual Directors International gave the gift of a cedar tree and peace pole in gratitude for sharing office space.
