In the Pike Place Market area of Seattle, there is a great bakery that has baked items that even people with strict dietary needs can enjoy!
The shop is in a storefront on Pike Place, facing the more recognizable buildings typically identified as Pike Place. It is a couple stores away from the first ever Starbucks store.
When I was there, there was not a lack of people at the window making their choices. What to choose? So many items were available. The maple-glazed cinnamon rolls (my choice, finally) are a good choice. But there are also muffins, bars, cookies, scones and more. The site made special note that they love gluten like everyone else!
But, for those with other dietary needs: vegan, sugar-free, and gluten free, they also have great tasting items for these restricted diets as well. For the gluten-free diet, one person recommended the "Monster Cookie," which has all sorts of things in it - she was getting one to go and two for her flight!
The whole store is dedicated to baking the goods right on site, so there are no tables and chairs at the spot. But it's Pike Place Market - there are other places to enjoy the goods - I went to the park nearby that has a great view of the Sound!
They also have a mail order business for mixes, so if you liked what you ate, you might try to make it at home! See the web site link below for more.
