This fantastic museum is housed in the old Keep in Dorchester. It is home to the military history of Devon and Dorset.

'The Keep Military Museum is the military museum of Devon and Dorset, representing The Devonshire Regiment, The Dorset Regiment, The Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, The Dorset Yeomanry, The Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry, The Dorset Militia, The Royal Devon Yeomanry and 94 Field Regiment RA. The museum is located to the west of Dorchester town centre.'
The displays are exhibited on three floors and include artefacts, weapons, uniforms, medals and the stories of the soldiers and their families. There is disabled access throughout the museum and great views from the top!
Opening hours: Summer (April to September) - Monday - Saturday 10:00am - 5:00pm, Last admission is 4:00pm. Winter (October to March) - Tuesday - Saturday 10:00am - 4:30pm, Last admission is 3:30pm. The Museum is closed on Sundays throughout the year.
