capsule containing mementos of the
250th Anniversary Celebration
of
Mays Landing
To be opened by the mayor and township officials
on September 10, 2010
The marker is a brass, rectangular cover with raised lettering. The capsule was placed by the 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee. The capsule is located under a cement pad (which appears new), at the southern most foot of Millennium Walk (A brick walkway leading to the center fountain) in Veterans Park in the center of town. Curiously, the capsule should have been opened 16 days ago but still remains closed.
