At 2426 N. Classen Blvd., just north of N.W. 23rd Street in Oklahoma City, sits a very small triangular building (only 392 sq. ft). The building rests on a small triangular spot of land, surrounded on all sides by streets.
It is historic because it is a 1930s Route 66 icon, and is on the National Register of Historic Places (#98000199).
The milk bottle is sheet metal and has carried various dairy-related advertising over the years. The bottle was constructed in 1948 when this buidling was occupied as Triangle Grocery, but the bottle has remained, long after the grocery has gone.
This is a well-known and beloved attraction in Oklahoma City - just ask anyone who lives here.
