Atlantic City is not considered one of the Jersey Shore's finest beaches...at least not anymore. It was once the big resort town for Philadelphia and New York beach seekers...but, nowadays, most visitors are coming for the Boardwalk activities...especially the Casinos.
Nevertheless, Atlantic City offers a fine white-sand beach with many activities including surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, volleyball fishing, etc.
Lifeguards are plentiful. If you are a guest of one of the beach area Casinos...you will be pampered on the beach with bar service. For those not living in such luxury, the Boardwalk is steps away...and you can choose amongst many options for food and drink...or visit an arcade...or ride a bike on the Boardwalk...or some afternoon gambling.
Another important point...unlike most New Jersey beaches...there is no fee to use the beach here!!
The coordinates here are from Tennessee Avenue and the Boardwalk where you have a great view of the Steel Pier and all it's amusements.
