This fine stone font is sited just inside the south door of St Mary's Church in Callington.

The font dates from Norman times and is probably from the earlier church on the site. Documents say there was a chapel on this site in 1384.
The bowl has octofoils on each side with sculpturedheads at the corners. The font cover is modern oak. There is a kneeling stone on the south side.
Approximate Age of Artefact: At least 600 years old
