The "Premium Tex", Texaco gas station, better known as the Hat n' Boots opened in 1954 on E Marginal Way. The completion of Interstate 5 Freeway produced a faster route, bypassing the station, and the roadside attraction went out of business in 1988.

In December 2003, Hat and Boots were moved to Georgetown's Oxbow Park, after languishing behind a chain-link fence for 15 years. A restoration took place and was completed in October 2009.

Oxbow Park, is located on the 6400 block between Carleton Avenue South and Corson Ave South. Zippy also visited the Hat 'n' Boots on August 3, 2000 and August 4, 2000 as well.
