Hooke Springs Trout Farm was founded over 40 years ago by Sheila and Allen Hill. The farm's springs rise through chalk and are the headwaters of the River Frome. Today Fiona and Mark Firth own and run the farm (Fiona is Sheila and Allen's daughter).

This farm supplies fish stock for rivers and lakes in the southern counties of England, also including Pembrokeshire in Wales, Kent, Buckinghamshire and Cornwall. Using feed of high quality the farm encourages the fish to search upwards for food. The fish bred here are the finest quality brown and rainbow trout specially selected for their fast growth, colour and strength.

The farm will actively help customers with the relevant Environment Agency permissions prior to stocking rivers and lakes. They have regular inspections and are approved by the Environment Agency.

Hooke Springs also welcome visitors (future customers) to have a look round the farm and have lunch. Please contact them for details: 01308 862 553.
