According to the plaque, this home built in 1896 was moved here three decades after it was built.
"Built for James Ingham, wagon maker
by Wm. Weeks, Architect at 517 Main Street
moved in 1925 to 22 High Street
Historical Trust Landmark"

Its original location was only a few blocks away, but the move required a steep climb uphill. Fortunately, the owners thought it was worth the effort, as the 500 block of Main Street was turned into undistinguished small stores and this lovely home would have been lost.
Original Location: N 36° 54.700 W 121° 45.520

How it was moved: Wheels / Dolly / Truck

Type of move: Inside City
