In Natick, near the southeast corner of the town, is a area of woods owned by the Trustees of Reservation known as Pegan Hill. The central feature is a low, rounded hill covered with woods. At the top of the hill and amongst trees is a survey disk mounted on concrete.

To reach the mark, the best thing would be to approach from the north. From South Natick at the intersection of Route 16 (Eliot Street) and Pleasant Street, take Pleasant Street south, and continue south beyond a Belkin Lookout Farm (on the right) to the intersection with Pegan Lane. Take a right onto Pegan Lane and continue to the end where there is a parking lot. NOTE: despite printed and GPS maps showing that Pegan Lane goes through to Farm Street, the road is impassable beyond the parking lot. From the south, the road - also Pegan Lane - does have an access point to the same path on the other side of the hill, but there is no good place to park. From the parking lot (on the north side) continue along the path up the hill to the summit. Upon reaching the summit, there is a cleared area that is becoming grown in on the left. Just before reaching that area, turn right and walk roughly perpendicular to the path to the mark. The mark is approximately 3 feet away from a rock that is approximately 2 ft x 3ft x 1 ft in size. The mark is mounted on a concrete monument approximately level to the ground.

Along the edge of the mark are the following words: "Mass. Dept. of Public Works - Triangulation Station." A circle is inscribed inside of these words. Inside this circle is the following text, "Pegan Hill" and "1895 - 1939." In the center of the mark is a triangle and two circular punches.

The mark is in good condition.
