The building at 524 E. Main Street in Shawnee is a two-story brick building that is vacant. It was built in 1907 and at one time housed the Shawnee Trading Post.
On the east side of the building is a ghost sign which reads "Shawnee." Below that the words are unreadable. The area in front of the sign is Centennial Park which contains several monuments and markers commemorating various historical events. To the northeast is the Santa Fe Depot Museum.
On the same brick wall is a newer sign (not yet a ghost) which encourages us to "Drink Dr. Pepper."
