Hands is a mural located on the side of a parking garage at the
San Jose International Airport. It is 70 feet tall and spans 1,200 feet.
Hands is mural of the hands of 54 Silicon Valley residents, representing a diverse cross-section, who are waving hello or goodbye to passengers
They were selected and assembled by Los Angeles-based artist Christian Moeller, then converted into a computer program that mapped where all the bits should be located on the wall and then 400,000 snap-on plastic disks were made to create a giant pixilated image on architectural chain-link mesh.
The mural can easily be viewed from Airport Boulevard Drive while driving by, but it's hard to stop. These pictures were taken from the bicycle path which parallels the road.
