From the train website:
The Railroad Garden is on a shaded pathway between the entrance and the Butterfly Pavilion.
Miniature plants have been planted through-out this specialty garden, to give a sense of scale to the g-scale trains that run through the space. Pygmy bamboo, carpet mat plants, miniature sedums, tiny bulbs and aquatic plants are a sampling of what can be viewed at different times of the year.
Two 400 foot loops of 'G' scale brass rails on free-floating tracks run by villages, over trestle bridges and through tunnels.
BioPark volunteers from New Mexico Garden Railroaders operate the railroad and answer your questions. Children can operate miniature trains on two interactive loops, one that circles a farm scene, and on that goes around a forest complete with campers.
