This graffiti by Banksy went up some time over the weekend of 21st / 22nd August 2010, and was confirmed as definitely being by the artist later that week. The local rumour is that he was attending the birthday celebrations of fellow street artist Ben Eine.
Within a few days the letters "ICF" had been graffitied around it, but after its existence had been reported in local news and on websites, more extensive defacement took place. The local council has since cleaned it as much as possible, and fitted a protective perspex covering.
