The Pleasant Church was founded in 1883 and located in southern Clark County, South Dakota. The church burned down in 1961 and was never rebuilt.

The bell sits on where the church originally sat and now is part of the Pleasant View Cemetery.

The church building itself was built in 1893 and was typical of all country churches; with samll, devoted congregations and a preacher that served several other churches in the area.

A picture of the church is engraved on the marker.

There is a geocache called "Pleasant Cemetery" in this area.

There are beautiful, stately trees surrounding the cemeter and the grounds are well kept up.

A memorial to World War 2 veterans stands just east of the bell. This memorial is also a waymark.
