Although usually known more for it's historical background, the Evangeline Oak is still quite an exceptional tree.

Most of what you find is on the historic references of the tree and it's meaning for the Cajun Culture. As important as that is, the tree itself is a massive Live Oak. It would easily have made the Live Oak Registry (above link) based on it's size, girth and spread. Often referred to as "The Most Photographed Tree in the World".
