Mokane MO Jail - Retired Prisons on Waymarking.com

I don't think I would have wanted to spend much time in this lockup located in Mokane MO. It is fair to assume it hasn't been used as a jail for some time.

Where this jail is now there used to be a hotel that serviced the passengers on the KATY Rail Road. The Lions Club eventually bought the old hotel property and converted it into a City Park. The jail was located West of it's current location and was moved to the park sometime in the late 70's early 80's. It is now mostly used for storage by the Lions Club who lacks storage with easy access."
