Dedicated to the recipients of the nations oldest military decoration “The Purple Heart” My stone is red for the blood they shed the medal I bear is my country’s way to show they care. If I could be seen by all mankind maybe peace will come in my lifetime.

Red marble memorial with the emblem of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, a poem, and emblems of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Names of the veterans are ingraved on the back of the stone. The memorial is located n Big Springs Park. Also in the park is a memorial to the memory of all who have served the the United States of America.
