Wemding ist ein Denkmalort und wurde im Jahr 793 zum ersten Mal urkundlich erwähnt. Der Fuchsturm war Teil des Nördlinger Tors, das heute nicht mehr existiert. Er ist 32 Meter hoch. Auf der Südseite des Turm sind 3 Kanonenkugel eingemauert, die aus dem spanischen Erbfolgekrieg von 1704 stammen.
Wemding is a historical monument town and has been mentioned by documents for the first time in the year 793. The tower called 'Fuchsturm' was a part of the former southern town gate. It has the height of 32 m. At the south side of the tower you can see 3 canon balls fixed in the wall. These canon balls are dated from 1704 (from the spanish succession war).
