The Colorado State Capitol is a beautiful building with excellent access to many of its treasures. The lower and second level are wheelchair accessible - the dome can only be accessed by climbing narrow stairs. Entrance to the Capitol is on the north side of the building. Occasional protests and news conferences are held on the west steps. A virtual tour is located at (visit link) .

There is a security checkpoint with metal detectors and X-Ray screening of bags, etc. Guns are not permitted - knives are collected and returned at the end of the tour (though is it much easier to just leave your knife at home/hotel).

There are many waymarks at this location - so take your time and gather quite a few!
