Long Description:
The Richmond neighborhood was a boom town a hundred years ago with the fishing industry and the seasonal workers. The population was in the thousands. By the 1890s, saloons and hotel dotted the community. The area was an important cannery location two. The sign is located in front of the historical museum in the community.
