F.E. McWilliam (30 April 1909 – 13 May 1992) was an Irish surrealist sculptor, born in Banbridge, County Down. He worked in stone, wood and bronze chiefly.

This figure was probably conceived as a tribute to Elisabeth Frink, in a style that closely resembles the subjects own modelling style.
