According to the displayed material, this Wat (also referred to as a Pagoda) was constructed in 1500 AD, and, in the years since, has had an interesting history. At the current time it is experiencing something of a renaissance. The Cambodian people are rediscovering their past culture, as such the Wat has undergone serious reconstruction and refurbishment, as well as expansion. There are several structures on the Wat grounds which look original, or at least very old, however, most of the Wat looks new.

Located near the centre of the town, on the river.
