This memorial is easy to walk past until one glances up. From a distance, I thought 'someone' was laying on top of the high wall because I saw the arm hanging down. Then I realized it was a sculpture. As I walked closer, I realized the figure was covered in a tarp. At first, I thought is would be a religious-based sculpture since it is adjacent to Holy Ghost Church. Then I noticed the distinct tread on the boots and realized it was a Vietnam era soldier who had made the ultimate sacrifice. It is both a powerful and eery piece. I was unsuccessful in discovering more about the donors.

The sculptor is A. Thomas Schomberg (visit link) and (visit link) This memorial was revealed on Memorial Day, 1986.
