The first point of interest about this centre is the octagonal shape of the glasshouse. This room was filled with flowering plants and the perfume from these took your breath away. The second thing that amazed us was the constant stream of shoppers, from first thing in the morning to late afternoon. On a sunny day the local gardens were certainly getting lots of attention from this centre. Plants are sold both retail and wholesale.
The garden centre is located in the town centre and steam from the nearby geothermal area is used to heat the greenhouses. This greenhouse was first started in 1953.
