The current half mile double-leaf bascule bridge opened in the spring of 2010, after three years of construction, replacing a swing bridge dating to the 1950's.
The photographs were taken from Union Point Park located near the bridge. In addition to parking and a good view of the bridge the park offers fishing, a playground area and restrooms.
