This building was constructed by the WPA in 1936. Most armorys in the area are made of native stone and this one was built with brick.

It took some 68,000 man hours of labor from many farmers that were with out work because of the economy.

This building is listed with the National Register of Historic places, 9/8/88. NR ID Number 88001366
