Located a few miles east of Waitsburg, Lewis and Clark Trail State Park has an abundance of information about the explorers' stay in the region. The sign is located just in the southern section of the park which straddles Highway 12.
"Must Sees"at this location": The park has several outdoor signs that have information about the explorers and a great open lawn area for a good game of Frisbee before your picnic. Waitsburg is just a few miles west, Dayton a few miles east...both towns with numerous waymarks to visit and more to post. Camping is allowed in the park during the spring, summer, and early fall months.
