[CZ] V techto místech se 27. cervna 1866 pri bitve u Náchoda nacházelo levé krídlo bojového postavení VI. armádního sboru podmaršálka Viléma Ramminga. Toto krídlo tvorila Waldstättenova brigáda složená z peších pluku c. 9 a 79, jedné delostrelecké baterie a praporu polních myslivcu c. 6.
Boj se zde rozpoutal až v záverecné fázi bitvy (po 13. hodine), kdy již zacal ústup rakouských jednotek z Branky a Václavic k Šonovu a Provodu. Brigáda plukovníka Waldstättena mela proniknout do pravého boku pruské sestavy severne od obce Vysokov. Prusové se predevším zásluhou myslivcu dostali do tísne, ale po príchodu nových posil se jim podarilo dosáhnout výrazného úspechu. Navecer, kdy již bylo o vítezi rozhodnuto, musela brigáda ustoupit spolecne s ostatními jednotkami VI. sboru.
Padlí vojáci, prevážne 6. myslivci, byli pohrbeni v hromadném hrobe oznaceným vysokým litinovým krížem, který se nachází 200 m jižne.
Na pamet padlých myslivcu byl 27. 6. 1906 odhalen figurální pískovcový pomník. Autorem návrhu, pri jehož realizaci asistoval také J.V. Myslbek, je sochar Quido Kocián. Pomník sám vytvoril František Hnátek z Horic. Na podstavci jsou vytesány verše Jaroslava Vrchlického a nemeckého básníka Torresaniho. Popud k jeho stavbe dal bývalý príslušník 6. praporu Gustav Jausen, kterému je venován pomnícek za sochou Myslivce. Pozemek ke stavbe prenechal majitel náchodského zámku a protektor vojenských hrobu a pomníku z prusko-rakouské války roku 1866 na náchodsku Vilém princ ze Schaumburg-Lippe, který se však slavnostního odhalení již nedožil.
[EN] In these places, on June 27, 1866, during the battle of Náchod, there was the left wing of the fighting position VI. Army Corps Marshal Vilém Ramming. This wing was formed by Waldstätten's brigade composed of infantry regiments No. 9 and 79, one artillery battery and a battalion of field hunters No. 6.
The fight started here only in the final phase of the battle (after 1 p.m.), when the retreat of Austrian troops from Branka and Václavice to Šonov and Provod had already begun. Colonel Waldstätten's brigade was to penetrate the right flank of the Prussian formation north of the village of Vysokov. The Prussians got into trouble mainly thanks to the hunter, but after the arrival of new reinforcements, they managed to achieve significant success. In the evening, when the winner had already been decided, the brigade had to retreat together with the other units of VI. choir.
The fallen soldiers, mostly 6th hunters, were buried in a mass grave marked by a high cast iron cross, located 200 m south.
A figural sandstone monument was unveiled on 27 June 1906 in memory of the fallen hunters. The author of the proposal, in the implementation of which J.V. Myslbek, is sochar Quido Kocián. The monument was created by František Hnátek from Horice. Verses by Jaroslav Vrchlický and the German poet Torresani are carved on the pedestal. Gustav Jausen, a former member of the 6th Battalion, gave the impetus for its construction, to which a monument behind the statue of the Hunter is dedicated. The land for the construction was left to the owner of the Náchod chateau and the protector of military graves and a monument from the Prussian-Austrian war in 1866 in the Náchod region, Prince William of Schaumburg-Lippe, who, however, did not live to see the ceremonial unveiling.
