The Heartbreak Hotel, located on the village green of Jefferson, New York, in the northern Catskills, had been closed for a couple of years time but reopened in 2009. This building has housed a hotel under various names since about 1833, and got the present name in 1978. It also has a bar and restaurant. Despite the name, everybody I saw there seemed to be happy!
