The granite column has the the seal of California on top. Around this is written "Shasta County Peace Officers."
On the front of the memorial is the text "In remembrance of our fallen officers who sacrificed their lives while in the lie of duty." The names are from city police, the sheriffs office, California highway patrol and even on the federal level.
The monument sits in a shady area next to the courthouse. There are some benches in front.
