If Parker Brothers died and went to heaven, this is where they would live out eternity! Placed in 1996, this plaza offers a larger than life, whimsical view of what game pieces would look like if we were all 1 inch tall!

The posted coordinates are for the dominos, but all the game pieces are scattered about in close proximity to one another, with City Hall as a perfect backdrop. There are many different games represented here. I spied Sorry!, dominos, Monopoly, checkers and chess. From the monopoly, I saw the wheel barrow and the iron pieces. There are also 4 dominos in all, one of them looks like it is about to fall..very cool stuff!
This is not exactly a drive by even though it is next to road. The courtyard is elevated several feet above the road so it is hard to see the pieces. They are directly across from city hall and are always a tourist and local favorite. When I visited, the place was mobbed with "photographers" and children running about the plaza. When I give directions I always use this or the giant clothespin as a guiding landmark. By the way, take my coordinates, input them into Google Earth and zoom in. You can easily make out all four dominos as well as the individual dots on some of them.
The pieces are scattered around a plaza found in front of the Municipal Services Building at the west side of Broad between Arch and JFK. The art was done by Daniel Martinez, Renee Petropoulis, and Roger White is officially titled Game Pieces. This location is always available for viewing. Parking is street side if you get lucky. We have been doing away with the meters and using kiosks. They take dollar bills and change. There are also some incredibly pricey parking garages which I strongly advise you to avoid unless you can afford 33 dollars for two hours. Finally, if you are coming from S. Jersey or W. Jersey near Camden or Cherry Hill, Haddonfield (Camden County) Use the High Speed Line. It is $2.85 round trip.
