This coal post would benefit from little more than a wash. In reasonable condition, but with a stud on the face that would indicate a missing plate.
The photo makes it look fat at the top and thin at the bottom. This coal post is close to a fence and a wide angle shot from the top was necessary to avoid it being obscured.
