Beautiful Tours Main Railway Station (Gare de Tours) is not only one of the most interesting technical and architectonic monuments of regional capital Tours, but it is also one of the most important public transportation hubs in the region.
Gare de Tours was built between 1896-1898 under the direction of renown architect Victor Laloux. The building is contructed from four materials: stone (for the facades and statuary), steel (supporting structures), cast iron (decoratinon of the interior columns) and glass (large windows on the facade and also roofs). Gare de Tours is terminal station which is serving especially for trains Aqualys, TER Centre and TGV Paris-Vendome-Tours.
