Smokey stands in front of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Forestry Division's district headquarters. Smokey is on the south side of Howard St., across from the law enforcement center and a St. Louis County office building. The sign is near the intersection of Howard and U.S. Highway 169.
This is a plastic on plywood sign, and the plastic has several cracks. Also, Smokey's left foot is a little crooked in relation to the board on which he stands. His foot sticks out a little.
