This painted utility box sits along a wide sidewalk along Massachusetts Avenue, near where Mass. Avenue and Main Street (sort of) meet.

In Cambridge, in the Lafayette Square area where Massachusetts Avenue meets Main Street (or did until the intersection was totally reconfigured), is a brightly painted utility box of a multi-colored and armed spiral. The spiral center is at the top of the box and winds its way down and around the sides - though the arms do not always meet.
No information was found about the box artist or date that it was painted. It looks like it has been there a while.
