"Pet Emergency Treatment service was established in 1978 by the local veterinarians and is supported by the veterinarians in the Anchorage area. It is designed to provide the best possible emergency medical and surgical services for your pet when your regular veterinarian is not available. We have recently moved to a state of the art facility in 2006.
Pet Emergency Treatment is open 24 hours to provide emergency and critical care. It is the intention of the service to specialize predominantly in the emergency treatment of sick and injured animals. We work closely with your pet’s regular veterinarian and send our findings to them for follow up care.
What is an emergency? Any unforeseen medical or surgical problem your pet may have which you determine requires professional attention. A few examples include fight wounds, porcupine encounters, severe coughing, vomiting and or diarrhea, bleeding, any accident, poisoning, or other severe or acute disorders.
Pet Emergency Treatment also has a migratory bird permit which allows us to temporarily treat migratory birds; which includes eagles, owls, and other wild birds"
