The Orangery was built to grow oranges for the De Grey family who lived at Wrest Park between the 13th century and 1917. The grand windows inside the Orangery are ideal for maximising sunlight. A hidden door was opened between June and October to allow the oranges to grow in the fresh air.

The old fireplace inside the Orangery is from the original mansion which stood near the sundial in the grounds. The coat of arms is similar to the others over the main entrances of the house today but also contains further heraldry with foliage effects.

Inside the Orangery on the wall is a framed family tree displaying the various coats of arms of the De Grey family. This is included in the gallery.
