Adam Martin                    

Adam Martin was born September 28, 1755 in Pennsylvania. He was married March 16, 1778 in Augusta Co, Va. He served in the Revolutionary War as a private in Captain John McCoy's company in Virginia. He was at the taking of Cornwallis at Little York. After the war he first moved to Rutherford Co., N.C. in 1788 and to what is now St. Louis Co., Mo. in 1795. He died April 14, 1835, aged 79 in what is now Bridgeton, Mo.
