Situated on the corner of Crown Lane and High Street in West Haddon, Manchester House, 11 High Street, is a three bay building with its 'shop window', of square bow design, facing Church Lane. It has a later, large rearward extension with its Crown Lane side angled along the course of the lane.

It was occupied for many years by the Townley family who were the village Tailor & Drapers.

The Name of the shop is arranged on a panel about 45cm high in plaster capital letters, about 25cm high, which are beginning to show a good deal of weathering especially to the east end of the sign, where some of the letters have weathered back to the level of the panel.
