Located in the city of Toledo in Lucas County on Secor Road, at the Ohio-Michigan state line. Post is light gray granite 69 inches long 12 inches square with the top 18 inches dressed to 8 by 10 inches. Lettered on north side "MICHIGAN", on south side "OHIO", on east side "STATE LINE", and on west side "POST 60". Base of post embedded in concrete, top projects 18 inches above ground. To Post 61, true bearing is N 87 09'07" E, at a distance of 5218.7 feet.

Also recovered near the post was Lucas County Engineer benchmark 11 (LCB 11). See photos.

The nearest community is Toledo. To reach from the intersection of State Route 184 (Alexis Road) and Secor Road, proceed north on Secor Road approximately 2500 feet to the state line and the mark on the right.

Mark is on private property, but is very close to the public right-of-way, so access shouldn't be a problem.


Historical significance:
This mark is part of the Ohio-Michigan state line survey conducted in 1915. Survey ran from the Ohio-Indiana line east to Lake Erie.
