The benchmark is an Alameda County Surveyor 2.5" diameter brass disk stamped "RS 663 LS 4870" located near the summit of Mission Peak in Fremont, California. It is embedded in the center of a sculpted square shape of concrete slab, surrounded by rocks and boulders. Elevation is estimated to be around 2500'.
