This plaque is, appropriately, on the side of a Sardinian restaurant, Maurizio's, at 364 Hanover Street. The plaque reads:
"Colorful lights, banners and processions announce 'Festa' season on summer weekends in the North End. Eight private clubs, each one devoted to a patron saint, sponsor annual parades just as Italian towns celebrate their saints' days. The feasts of Madonna del Carmine, St. Rocco, St. Joseph and St. Agrippina usually take place in July. In August the North End celebrates the Feast of Madonna della Cava, Madonna del' Soccorso, and also the Feasts of St. Anthony and St. Lucy."

Visit Instructions:
When logging a Massachusetts Historic Marker, we ask that you not only describe your visit, but to upload a picture from it. The picture does not have to be of the marker - one picture of the marker is enough. But a photo of you standing next to the marker or a photograph the subject of the marker - those are examples of possible photographs to upload.
